AWS Keys Still Not Working? Written Solution Here:
Did you watch the very first video above? That should cover it but if not here are written instructions
Make Sure You Sign Up For Product Advertising API (Covered in above video)
If you?re having issues with the Amazon keys not being accepted it?s because you?re not actually be correctly signed up for the product advertising API (we?ve had a handful of other customers with this exact issue and so the following steps should fix it).
So all you need to do is the following:
Step 1: https://screencast.com/t/xXaRib3iOJbE
Log into your Amazon Associates account and scroll down to ?Product Advertising API?
Step 2: https://screencast.com/t/54x8TOmanv3M
From the Product Advertising API page click the sign up now button and follow the prompts.
Solution 2: Creating New AWS Keys In New System
Ok so if signing up for the product advertising API as previously suggested didn?t work then this should resolve the issue.
Basically Amazon has moved into a new system for their AWS key management so it?s making this more difficult than it should be (sorry about that):
Old system URL: https://portal.aws.amazon.com/gp/aws/securityCredentials
Screenshot of page: https://screencast.com/t/yhUviuE6W
New system URL: https://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/home?#security_credential
Click the blue button when it pops up to continue to security credentials ? do not create keys using the IAM system even though Amazon recommends this ? they won?t work for EasyAzon (EasyAzon uses the Product Advertising API and Amazon currently requires keys with root access to use that).
Screenshot of page: https://screencast.com/t/Q32Xl7Nx5
If you have the old keys (as pictured above in the screenshot) please delete them. Then recreate the keys in Amazon?s new system.
The new keys should now work.
